Sasthrasamkarikotsavam of Cherpu Mekhala was conducted in Venginissery, Paralam Panchayat on 9-11-2008. The function was held at the Venginisery Co-op Society Hall. The Famous Sopanasangeetha Artist Shri Njeralath Harigovindan inaguurated the closing ceremony. He enlightened the audience with his marvelous voice and music. Shri Peringodu Sankaran accompanied him on the Edakka. S/Shri PR Varghese, CI Simon, MS Surendran attended tthe meeting.
