Withdraw the decision to reduce the negative mark in the entrance examinations for Professional Courses.
See the full text of the statement in Malayalam int the attachment. The KSSP has asked the Government to withdraw the decision to to reduce the negative mark in the entrance examinations for Professional Courses like medicine and engineering. In a statement issued, KSSP has pointed out that the decision would only help those who make education a mere business through Self Financing Colleges. In a four choiced (ABCD) 120 number question exam for a paper, any candidate who continuously mark any one of the choices like A,B, C or D, would get 24 marks. Thus in four papers a candidate would get 96 marks. If the present one mark reduction for wrong question is reduced to only half mark, a candidte who knows nothing may too would get 48 marks, which is a sufficient score for Self financing colleges to admit a candiate.
