Grand Finale to Dubai Children’s
Science Congress

The first Dubai Children’s Science Congress organised by the Dubai Municipality in collaboration with the Friends of KSSP successfully concluded at the club today. 21 School teams of children belonging to the age group 12-17 participated and presented their projects.
The Dubai Children’s Science Congress was organised to imbibe the spirit of science and the culture of collective enquiry to use science for finding solutions to social problems.
All the projects were prepared around the broad theme, “Clean Environment, Clean City –Through Environment Protection and Waste Reduction”. Student teams from 20 schools of Dubai and Sharja came up with innovative projects dealing with various aspects of the environmental issues facing the cities.

Friends of KSSP is planning to organize a two-day workshop for school teachers on ‘Novel Pedagogical Approaches’ scheduled to be held on 3rd and 4th of August 2011, at the AELI Hills, Keezhmadu Aluva, Ernakulam District, Kerala.

-2011 ഫെബ്രുവരി 25 ന് വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച കേരള സോഷ്യല് സെന്ററില് നടക്കും. രാവിലെ 9 മുതല് വൈകിട്ട് 5 വരെയാണ് പരിപാടി. വിനോദത്തിലൂടെ കുട്ടികളില് അറിവും സാമൂഹ്യ ബോധവും വളര്ത്താന് ഉതകുന്ന നിരവധി പരിപാടികള് കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്താണ് ചങ്ങാതിക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ വ്യത്യസ്ഥമായ ഉള്ളടക്കം തയ്യാറാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളതെന്ന് സംഘാടകര് അറിയിച്ചു. ഔപചാരിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ ചട്ടക്കൂടിന് പുറത്തുനിന്നുകൊണ്ട് ഹൃദ്യമായ പഠന പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളിലൂടെ ശാസ്ത്രബോധത്തിലധിഷ്ഠിതമായ വ്യക്തിത്വ വികസനം സാധ്യമാക്കുകയാണ് ചങ്ങാതിക്കൂട്ടം കൊണ്ട് ഫ്രണ്ട്സ് ഓഫ് കേരള ശാസ്ത്ര സാഹിത്യ പരിഷത് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്.

പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യകത ബോധ്യപ്പെടുതുന്നതിനും കുട്ടികളെ പ്രകൃതിയുമായി കൂടുതല് അടുപ്പിക്കുവാനും ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഫ്രണ്ട്സ് ഓഫ് കെ എസ് എസ് പി ദുബായ് ചാപ്ടര് പരിസ്ഥിതി ക്യാമ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വന വര്ഷാചരണ സമാപനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടാണ് ഏകദിന പരിസ്ഥിതി ക്യാമ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. ദുബായ് സഫാ പാര്കില് വച്ചു ഡിസംബര് 30 നു ആണ് ക്യാമ്പ് . പാര്കിലെ വിവിധങ്ങളായ നൂറുകണക്കിന് സസ്യ ജലങ്ങളെയും അവയുടെ സവിശേഷതകളെയും കുറിച്ച് കുട്ടികളില് അവബോധം ഉണ്ടാക്കാന് ക്യാമ്പ് ഉപകരിക്കും .
